Samsung Galaxy Y – Budget Android phone

Samsung has launched a new phone belonging to it’s Galaxy series, Galaxy Y. This is perhaps it’s cheapest Android phone till now. So, it does not match to Galaxy Ace or S or the other big ones, rather it is an entry level smartphone.

But, its features include a 3 inch touchscreen, runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, powered by 832 MHz processor, and has a 2 MP camera. It uses the Touchwiz UI, which is quite good.

Well, the camera could have been better, the battery backup is’nt so good, it has a small screen. But, this phone runs on Gingerbread, which is not available in any other phone in this price.
Samsung Galaxy Y is up for pre-order at Letsbuy for Rs. 7100 (about $150).
