There are two versions of IPad – Wi-Fi and 3G. Each version comes with 3 different memories – 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. Choosing from these quite a tough task.

Wi-Fi or 3G

• IPad is available in two different versions: the first works on WI-Fi and the other with 3G.
• Wi-Fi version is useful if you use your IPad at your home, or at office, as the connectivity area is bounded.
• The benefit of buying a Wi-Fi IPad is that it’s price is much less than the 3G version.
• The second benefit is that you dont have to pay your service provider, as in 3G services. If an operator charges 700-1000 rupees per month, then you would save about 10,000-12,000 rupees in a year if you are using a Wi-Fi.
• The 3G model is pricier, but has it’s benefits.
• You get Wi-Fi feature along with 3G too. If you are close to a wi-fi hotspot, then you can still use wi-fi.
• 3G is necessary to use GPS services.
• You have to buy a separate 3G plan from your service provider to use 3G services.

Thus, it depends upon your usage, whether wi-fi or 3G version suits you. If budget is not a problem, then you may go for the 3G plus Wi-Fi version.

How much memory is enough for you?

• Where memory is concerned, the IPad is available in 3 different models – 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB.
• You cannot expand the memory, so you should use your model according to your usage.
• If you are using wi-fi, then you need more memory, because you may go offline many times. The 32 GB version will suit in this case.
• In case of 3G, many cloud computing sites store data online. So, 16 GB would be enough.
• Further, it depends on how much music and movies you want to store.
• According to a study, 16GB and 64 GB Ipads are more popular than the 32 GB version
